Boujad

People of the market. This series explores the intimate and still moments within the busyness of the bazaar. Taken in Boujad, Morrocco this marketplace gave me the personal glimpse of the balance between chaos and the present. Showcased through expressions of the people and particular scenes between one action and the next, this set of photos and short film exemplifies that if paid attention to serenity is in the between moments.

Surfing the Rust Belt

When most people think of surfing they immediately draw parallels to the shorelines of sunny places like California. They do not associate surfing with Lake Michigan's icy shores, below freezing temperatures and industrial landscapes. There is a lot of will power in putting on a 6mm wetsuit and wadding into lethally cold water just to capture the unique rush of standing on a wave. A short documentary film of life in the Midwest.
